The FUDDT (Free UltraSound Driver
Development Team) are a group of individuals who are dedicated
to the further development of software support for the Gravis UltraSound series of sound cards.
I am currently working from the original Win32 driver sources to create a
completely architecture-independent driver for the InterWave/GF1. I intend
to use as little of Gravis' code as possible; for more information about the
project in general, see the Utopia Sound Division web site!
X-Tracker is a project that I am designing and coding for my 2nd year project
at North Lincolnshire College;
although the assignment is not officially
approved yet, it involves the planning, design and implementation of a
commercial-quality product. As there is no decent FastTracker clone
for the UNIX/X11 operating environment, I thought that it would be a good
idea to write one.. Currently, I have the sound system in place and module
loading and saving SEEMS to work properly; the rest should hopefully fall
into place by July '99 -- Will be released under GPL copyleft terms!
IPX Relay Chat was originally coded as a DOS text-only implementation while
I was a student at Boston College; after I left Boston, the development
of this project took a different turn, the addition of pseudo-TCP/IP enabled
communication to take place between two different sites.. Both sites
must have a computer with full TCP/IP capability and running either Windows
or UNIX with the ability to understand IPX packets. I have successfully
initated communication between Boston College and North Lincolnshire College
with the pre-alpha version of this project.
Will be released as binary only; due to the possible damage that could be done with a trojan horse
version of this program :-(
Addendum:
The projects listed on this page may or may not appear (X-Tracker
is an exception; it is a required part of my coursework!);
I also have to work on commercial stuff that due to contract reasons cannot
appear here.. I do not quote release dates or projected schedules as these
change quite frequently and it may well turn out that I may not be able
to finish any of the projects on this page due to time / hardware / information
restraints. In which case, I would place the working source tree
on this site for download in the hope that someone would be able to continue
my work.....
